All signs point to a big Steelers win, which really has me scared to death for this game.

The offense still hasn’t lived up to its potential. Road Ben and Home Ben is a real thing but it shouldn’t be. Maybe, just maybe, it’s time to start looking at Haley and wondering WHAT exactly he’s trying to accomplish with this offense.

But he can’t be totally to blame, because in these road debacles the defense has also looked either sluggish or uninterested.

Wow, you’d think that we weren’t
2-0, but we’ve seen this movie too many times. It’s time for a new ending to that story.

I think Bell starts to really get his game going to HIS level. This helps road Ben, just be regular franchise Ben. The defense continues getting pressure on a shaky Mike Glennon, and the bears can’t run either.

Start quickly, score a couple of touchdowns, get a few sacks and a turnover and this game should be over early!

Bells issues have been completely overblown, IMO. With penalties and overall offensive struggles against Cleveland they never got the running game going. What did he have, 10 carries? And how many of those were draws on 2nd or third and long due to a holding penalty or something along those lines? I'll agree the playcalling drove me crazy in that game. I had far fewer issues with that against Minnesota. Minnesota has arguably the best D line in football and one of the best overall defenses in the league. Defensive gameplanning goes a long way in the offensive playcalling. If they were doubling AB and Martavis all afternoon and having 7 man boxes, you better believe Bell would've had himself a day, even against that D line. Instead, what Minnesota decided to play a lot of press coverage with a safety in the box. I don't know about everyone else, but when the offense gets stubborn and tries to do things that don't make sense relative to what the defense is showing/playing it drives me insane. Like when the offense ran on 3rd and one against Cleveland with like 10 guys in the box. It drove me crazy. Against Minnesota they took what the defense was giving them and it worked. They didn't have a ton of big plays down the field but most of that was due to the fact that Minnesota had to commit PIs to stop them from happening. There were multiple potential long TDs that never happened because of PI penalties.

I'm worried about them going on the road and laying an egg. Mainly because I don't know what Ben is going to show up. Depot wrote an article about how Tomlin is 11-5 on the road vs teams when they are favored by 7 or more. Obviously the way we all act you'd expect that record to be like 1-14, but there's been a concern with that. But we'll see. I'm fully expecting the Steelers to win but you just never know with this team.

To me Bells “issues” aren’t a big deal. I think the first 2 games were equivalent to his pre-season.
This is why I think he gets it going this week!

Tuitt practiced fully today. Great news. Gilbert didn't practice with his hamstring injury so that isn't looking too good for Sunday. Watt was a limited participant yesterday but didn't practice today. Not a good sign but he still has a chance to play if he practices in some capacity tomorrow.

    Dammit

@rayfitt1: Marcus Gilbert and T.J. Watt have been ruled out for Sunday. Stephon Tuitt and Jerald Hawkins are questionable.

That's funny!! TBH I love Timmons but think we have moved on from him already. Besides if it was a mistake then take the pay cut and stay :)

Just putting this out there because it seems to be missing a lot of you right now, our defence is currently ranked 3rd overall. 4th against the pass, 8th against the run.

Yes the offence will pick up at some point ( Hopefully when we make the playoffs when it matters the most ) but until such time, i'm quite happy and loving watching our defence carry the team.

Also if we beat the bears, I want none of this "oh it was only Mike glennaon stuff " lol.....We play who they put in front of us. Who cares who it is if we are winning :)

Steelers will not participate in the national anthem today. They will remain in the locker room.

This is total speculation on my part but I suspect some players wanted to kneel and the FO decided it would be better to not participate.

Jags crushed the Purple Browns, who benched Flacco.

Time to take the AFC North by the throat.

I was ready to blame Ben for a poor throw but it looks like Martavis slowed onthe route before the throw. Damn shame. Hope that doesn't come back to bite us.

They better get their shit together because they're beating themselves right now. 14-point swing. Missed opportunity and costly fumble.
