There is no justifiable way to overturn this. None.

i guess need to be happy with a win. But that was ugly and NOT just because of the penalties. A rookie QB had a pretty good game against us. No explanation for this. Well on to next week

Still, a stupid, predictable, non-sensical, unexplainable bad throw from "Road Ben" at a place on the field and at a time in the game that could have been catastrophic.

No need to panic after this game. Road Ben is my biggest concern. Not defense, not penalties. I think some of his performance can be chalked up to rust/first game and all that, but after his performances on the road last year, it is concerning. Though the playcalling did them no favors. They played scared way too often early.

He was OK but I think both of their TDs came on drives where they had 3rd and 20 and we penalized them to first downs.

The pass rush was great and most of their yardage came from underneath stuff to backs, TEs etc.

The one real legitimate gripe I see is the offense. Play calling was putrid. Ben was putrid. No excuse for this offense scoring 14 points.

All that said, this is what happens when you play to protect from injuries in the preseason. They have about 5 series total, and even that is without Bell. They were very sloppy.

For falling on the blocked punt? Dirty red blocked it. And I think Antonio Brown/TJ Watt deserve some thanks.

Also, Tuitt leaving after the first series that he basically ended on his own didn't help.

The funny part is that his most impressive pass rushes of the game didn't result in sacks lol

Everyone else cool with signing up for this? Lol

@Alex_Kozora: RT @JeffBruder: @Alex_Kozora On pace for 112 tackles, 40 TFL, 16 INT, 32 sacks, 72 pressures. Would be a nice rookie year.

Ben will be fine, MB will be fine.....Todd Haley called a strange game....

Starters play so few snaps in the preseason so this was the most game action the players had in a longtime and I just think that contributed to the sloppy play....

More concerned about Bell and the run blocking at the moment....

Tuitt, not out for the season is great news....

Watt what a start....I do think the secondary will be much better....Many new players still adjusting to each other....

Red zone offense was 2 for 2 in a sloppy game from the O.....

Wow some of you guys are really negative! Lol. For me that was a classic game of football. Lots more positives to take away than negatives.

Negatives - Timing for Ben and every other receiver than Brown / James was well off.
MY biggest gripe was despite the Cleveland safties being 25 yards off the LOS, we still couldn,t run effectively against them. Either their dee is better than people are giving them credit for or we didn't play that well or both.
As before, the penatiles. At least 4 personal foul types too ( although the Watt PF wasn't as he didn't actually touch Kiezer )
I get really fed up watching our dee come charging in on the ball carrier for the big hit ( which normally ends up a PF anyway ) and whiff a little and not wrap up. I missed Timmons a little yday as he wrapped up a lot.

    Positives.
AB AB AB literlarly is a one man wrecking crew.
I LOVED that our dee looked sharp and even some of the big Cleveland completions were a whisker away from being incomplete passes as our dee was right on the money.
We truly have a great dee all over the field with great backups too. Materkavich and chickolo could be starting elsewhere in this league but they are our backups!!
Finally feel our DB core looks solid
While we can all rave about Watt ( more in a minute ) lets not forget we also got 5 more sacks from others, and it was AWSOME to see us FINALLY get pressure on the QB while rushing just four!! HEELLELUUUUUYAAAAAAA!!!!
Watt - Just wow. What a motor, what an Athelte, What a STEELER!! That INT was superb!! Only Shazier I think could have hauled that in other than TJ.
Is J James the new Heath??? I'm REALLY starting to believe now :)

End of the day it wasn't sexy football but it was WINNING football with only ourselves to blame for making it harder than it should have been. Yes the refs were pretty useless, but unfortunately the NFL doesn't like big hits anymore, and we have to realize that and wrap up more than go for big hits. Not sexy I know, but that's todays NFL for you.

Also at the end of the day even an out of touch offence was enough for us to win. Things can only get better :) Great start to the season with a WIN :)

Arguably the worst secondary in football if you like to argue for no reason.

Lol absolutely. Have to take it with a grain of salt. But we need to pressure him next week so we don't have him standing there all day finding the open guy like he didn't last night.
