I absolutely believe we can win this game, but I don't think we will. Road Ben scares me, and the Pats in Foxborough always scare me, regardless of whether or not this Pats team is as dangerous as previous years.
But hey, I picked the chiefs to blow us out last week, so what do I know?
Just to start it off with Tomlin in his press conference regarding AB.
He said that punishment will be handled "swiftly" but the team will "punish him, not us." I suppose that means some type of fine. It will be handled in house and the media will not be notified of any team punishment. He also indicated that a league punishment is likely forthcoming.
He also apologized for the use of language and that it was a poor example as a role model.
Finally, he indicated that this will have zero impact on the game and that it is basically a media driven story, as there are the same number of sports shows on TV and radio but only four teams playing this week.
In conclusion, he did about as much as any coach could to diffuse the situation. Tomlin truly is a cool cucumber, very intelligent, and articulate. I wish he could be more free wheeling in these things because he shows hints of having a great sense of humor and being someone that the average guy would love to have a beer with.
Below is the Sports Illustrated interview with Martavis Bryant.
Pretty good interview.
Wow, I would've never guessed that he used to never work out......lol. He's actually gotten much bigger from what I can tell.
I'm really pulling for him and willing that he has gotten his life in order. This offense could be really frightening in 2017 if all goes well for him.
ITS GAME DAY!!!
I'm excited to see the Steelers the healthiest they've been heading into the playoffs. The killer B's, the OL, and most of the D!
HERE WE GO STEELERS
HERE WE GO!!!!
A lot being made of Jones being flaming garbage, especially this past Sunday (including me). A funny thing happened on the way to the lynching though, his numbers actually were pretty good. Granted, it took a great play by DHB to take a horrendous pick six off the board, but let's not pretend that Ben does not throw awful interceptions too.
Below is a list of the primary backup QBs for every team at the beginning of this season. How many can you honestly say is better than Landry? I do not mean "has more upside" or "will be better in future years." I mean, who would give us a better chance to win this Sunday in the playoffs if Ben could not go? Are there even ten?
